steampunkanachronism: Instead of a cup of water I used a cup of lemon-lime soft drink, and after boiling for 10 minutes, I threw in a cup of sugar and boiled 10 more minutes, reduced heat and simmered for about 10 minutes. It was kind of thin, but today, after sitting in the fridge overnight, it’s thick and gooey. It’s not just for ice cream anymore. I’m going to eat it on toast, too.
